How you can KNOW, for sure, that you are on your way to Heaven

All have sinned

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.


Every person that has lived, aside from the Lord Jesus, has sinned. We have all failed. We have all fallen. "Nobody is perfect," is how many would say that today.

There is a penalty

Romans 6:23a

For the wages of sin is death...

Just as you would have to pay a debt to society for a crime that you commit. You must pay your sin debt. The only way that you can pay that debt is eternity in Hell. Revelation 20:14 says And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

The debt has been paid

Romans 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

There is no way that we could pay for our own sins except for spending eternity burning. But thank God, He made a way for us to be saved from the penalty of sin through Jesus. When Jesus, who knew no sin, died, was buried and then rose from the grave after three days He conquered death and sin for us.

Simply call upon Him

Romans 10:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

It's very simple. You cannot buy your way to Heaven. You cannot do enough good to outweigh your bad to get to Heaven. You cannot work your way to Heaven. The only thing you can do to enter into Heaven is to trust in Christ's perfect sacrifice for your sin and accept His payment.

Many will pray to ask Christ to save them by praying something like this. Now, you must remember that the words do not save you it's a confession of the heart.

"Dear Jesus,

I know that I have sinned against you. I know that my sin demands a payment. I know that the only way to pay for my sin is by going to hell. But, I believe that you came to earth to die for me and pay my sin debt. I am calling upon your name for salvation. In Jesus name I pray, amen."


Romans 10:10

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
